I remember when I first saw him perform at my campus in 2000. It was a really small crowd which was a shame because he flat out killed it that night. He definitely singled me out because of my laugh (big surprise) but I kept laughing even harder. After the show, I went outside & saw him smoking a cigarette. I went up to him & he said, “You ain’t mad at me for what I said about you?” Me: “Nah, definitely not. You were awesome, man!” And he was pretty thrilled to hear that.
I’ve seen him a number of times at the show “Eating It” at the Luna Lounge years ago & thought he was amazing. The crazy part was that he actually remembered me because of my laugh from that show in Buffalo.
You’ll be missed.
