My friend Sari Caine Glickstein wrote & directed a funny character study called “The Thing About Dan” that opens today at the IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, buzzer 3B).  And one of the funniest improvisers in NYC - Louis Kornfeld (The Boss, MegaLou) - co-stars in it!

The story?  Paul (Michael Hurst) and Zip (Kornfeld) spend a weekend hunting in the woods & are waiting for their friend Dan, the glue in their lives and in their friendship.  The thing is, he’s sleeping with their wives.

With elements of Beckett, Pinter, & the Coen Brothers, the play is a funny & moving study of how two men try to hold their lives together.
